Project Requirements

This project showcases a custom-built 5-inch racing drone optimized for high-speed maneuvers and HD clarity. Integrating the DJI digital ecosystem provides crystal clear video feeds, while the Crossfire link ensures rock-solid control at near-zero latency.

The Challenge

Optimizing PID loops and filter settings in Betaflight to eliminate prop wash and vibration at high throttle, while managing heat dissipation for the digital video transmitter.

The Approach & Solution

Custom Betaflight tuning for locked-in rates and PID response. Strategic placement of components for center-of-gravity balance and maximum airflow cooling.
